(Ottawa) – As a result of an investigation conducted by the Ottawa Police Drug Unit, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed on March 26th, 2013 in the 300 block of River Rd, in the city Ottawa.

Once inside, police found a marihuana grow operation in the residence consisting of over 100 plants. The total value of the seizure is estimated to be approximately $111,000.00.

A man and woman were charged jointly with Production of a Controlled Substance as well as 6 charges under the Ontario Fire Protection and Prevention Act. A 40 yrs old male and 39 yrs old female both of Ottawa are charged jointly and will be appearing in court at a later date.
